Shivajinagar, 16th August 2025: The troubles of Pranjal Khewalkar, son-in-law of veteran politician Eknath Khadse, have deepened after a fresh case was registered against him at the Pune Cyber Police Station. The action follows a complaint by a woman who alleged that Khewalkar stole her photos and videos without her consent.

Police officials confirmed that a case has been registered under Section 66E of the Information Technology Act and Section 77 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Further investigation into the matter is underway.

The development comes amid ongoing controversies surrounding Khewalkar. Earlier, Maharashtra State Women’s Commission Chairperson Rupali Chakankar had demanded strict action against him, calling for a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into a separate human trafficking case.

In a recent press conference, Chakankar alleged that incriminating material had been found on Khewalkar’s mobile phone. She claimed the device contained screenshots of chats with girls, as well as explicit photos and videos, suggesting that some of the women were allegedly forced into drug use and subjected to torture.

Expressing concern, Chakankar said, “I feel sympathy for Rohini Khadse. But if anyone is aware of such activities and continues to support them, then the one who supports a crime is also a criminal.”

The Pune Cyber Police are continuing their inquiry, and further details are awaited.
