World  Dance Day Event  2018 promises to create history in Pune

7000 dancers, 400 choregraphers of acclaim and repute to sizzle on April 29 ( Sunday ) at Deccan College Ground for the grand and historic World Dance Event

Leading dancers from the country, state and city under the banner of Pune Dance Union would be creating a dancing history of its kind in the world of dance at Deccan College Grounds in Yerawada near BEG headquarters in Pune on April 29. The event will witness a mammoth and spectacular dance performance by as many as 7000 dancers, 400 choreographers with an expected audience of more than 5000 Puneites who will create history with the sole objective of paying tribute to dance as a profession and appeal to the citizens to keep themselves fit with the changing times.

Sanjay Sawant, Event Convenor and Organiser while addressing the media said that the event has been scheduled to take place from 5 pm to 8 pm on April 29 ( Sunday ). Pune Dance union had started their dance organization in April 2016. Bollywood reality dancers will also participate in the event. Orphans from different social organizations from Indapur, Wagholi, Wadgaonsheri, Doorstep, Saraswati Anathashram in Dapodi will be given a platform during the programme. Dancers Kausar Khan, Karishma Chavan, Kruti Mahesh , Siddhesh, Punekar Danny Dance Wala , Vicky Alhat and Jeet Singh are the star attraction of the event. Participants in the age Group from 5 to 50 years can participate in the dance programme which will be attended by Phulwa Khamkar, Shera Gurmeet Singh ( Salman Khan’s body guard ), Khalid Azmi, Sabeena Khan, Saroop Chottu Lohar.

According to the organizers, the dance celebration has been modeled on the regime of dance-fitness theme with special focus on the youth and the middle aged citizens. Sanjay Sawant ,who belongs to Pune Dance Union, informed that the dance day has been organized with the objective of making the citizens aware about fitness on the occasion of celebration of international dance day on April 29 wherein the doors have been opened to each and everyone to attend our free “ love the dance ” event.

“ We appeal to Puneites to turn out a large number and participate wholeheartedly in the show which will spread the message of stay fit and stay healthy for the citizens. It is a free event and the citizens must participate in the event and be a part of the history which we are going to create ,” he added.

Kapil Mutha of Kapil Mutha ventures said that a special competition for the handicapped people will be there during the function and prizes will be given to them as a part of boosting their morale and motivating them to take up future challenges in their lives.

Amonst the other prominent people who have supported the event are Rahul Kosandkar of RK Academcy, Kapil Mutha of Kapil Mutha Ventures, Pradeep Gaikwad, Krishan Kumar Goyal, Yuvaraj Dhamale, Deepak Jawalkar, Navjeet Singh , Sonigraha and Anil Wadhwa respectively. Participants from Ahmednagar, Nagpur, Sangli, Mumbai and Aurangabad are participating in the event.
