Pune, 21st December 2024: Sancheti Hospital organized a special program to mark the first World Meditation Day on Saturday. The program included talks on the science and techniques of meditation, along with demonstrations.

International Motivational Speaker Brahmakumari Sarita Didi (Sarita Rathi), a Senior Rajyoga Teacher, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, in the presence of Rupal Sancheti, Head of Marketing and Digital at Sancheti Hospital, Dr. Lavneesh Tyagi, Head of Sancheti Institute for Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, and Dr. P.S. Garcha, Senior Anaesthesiologist at Sancheti Hospital.

Sarita Didi emphasized that meditation helps remove the clutter of negative thoughts and recharge the mind with positivity. She said, “Meditation teaches us to go to the root, not the fruit. The root is our mind. If we stabilize our mind and fill it with positive thoughts, it will help us heal ourselves. This helps in overcoming anxiety, depression, stress, and factors affecting our mind, allowing us to look at life and relationships differently.”

Groundbreaking Initiative at Sancheti Hospital
Sancheti Hospital recently established a meditation room, a first-of-its-kind offering by any hospital in Maharashtra. This serene space is designed to cater to the emotional and mental well-being of patients, their families, and hospital staff, reinforcing Sancheti Hospital’s unwavering commitment to the philosophy of “Patient First.” The meditation room helps patients’ relatives, who may be in distress, maintain positivity and distance themselves from negative thoughts.

In an additional step toward creating a truly harmonious environment, Sancheti Hospital has announced the hospital as a “No Anger Zone.” This unique initiative aims to foster a calm and supportive atmosphere for patients and their families, recognizing the anxiety they may experience during their healthcare journey. The initiative extends to all 1,000+ employees, including doctors, ensuring a compassionate and understanding approach at every level of care.

Dr. Parag Sancheti, Chairman of Sancheti Hospital, said, “At Sancheti Hospital, we believe that true healing encompasses not just the body, but the mind and soul as well. Our meditation room is a reflection of this belief, providing a sanctuary for patients, families, and employees alike. With the introduction of the ‘No Anger Zone,’ we are taking our commitment to holistic healthcare a step further. On World Meditation Day, we reaffirm our dedication to creating a space where everyone feels supported and at peace, and we are deeply grateful to Brahmakumari Sarita Didi for gracing us with her presence and sharing her wisdom.”

The meditation room and “No Anger Zone” stand as testaments to Sancheti Hospital’s innovative approach to healthcare and its commitment to creating a healing environment that extends beyond clinical care. By fostering a culture of mindfulness and mental well-being, Sancheti Hospital continues to lead the way in redefining healthcare standards.

Rupal Sancheti shared that an action plan for the ‘No Anger Zone’ has been prepared. This includes training the staff for the next three months in various steps, to be conducted by Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation, a sister concern of Brahma Kumaris. “We hope to establish the ‘No Anger Zone’ within the next three months,” she said.
