‘Yamraj’ to warn traffic rule violators in Pune
Pune – Fed up with traffic rule breakers, the Pune city police have come out with a unique concept.
A volunteer has dressed up like Yamraj, the god of death, and will roam on FC Road, JM Road in under Deccan traffic division. The initiative is set to be launched on Saturday.
Police officials said that people fear that Yamraj will take away their lives, therefore ‘Yamraj’ has been roped in to warn people who violate traffic rules like talking on phone while driving, not wearing helmet, over speeding, signal jumping etc.
