Yashada Pimpri Chinchwad Half Marathon Returns On 15th December With 21, 10, 5 Km Races

Pimpri Chinchwad, 16th November 2024: Yashada Pimpri Chinchwad Half Marathon 2024 (YPCHM) is set for 15th December 2024, featuring timed races of 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km. This will mark the fourth edition of the event, with the previous three receiving significant praise from the running community and achieving notable success. In an online poll conducted by Mumbai Roadrunners in 2023, YPCHM was awarded the title of “Best Half Marathon.”

This year, the women players of India’s nationally and internationally acclaimed blind football team will be participating, having already represented India and elevated its name on the global stage. YPCHM has partnered with the NGO “Mai Bal Ashram For Blind” as its charity partner, supporting a social initiative and enhancing the event’s impact. These players’ participation is expected to serve as an inspiration.

Prominent blind football players and their thoughts who are participating:

– Bhagyashree Rogi (Indian Team): “I have played for the Indian team against Japan. Now, I want to play for India again as a midfielder. We aim to elevate the country’s presence in blind football.”
– Komal Gaikwad (Indian Team Captain): “I have played in England and also led the Indian team in Japan. I aspire to captain the team again and bring pride to our nation.”
– Dipali Kamble (Indian Team Captain): “I captained the Indian team in the Women’s World Cup in England. Participating in such competitions is always a proud moment.”
