Pune, 12 March 2025: Mokshada Choudhary, a national-level fencing player from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, and a Class XII student at Delhi Public School, Pune, has been making waves in the Indian fencing circuit. With a Silver Medal at the MP Khelo India Games and a consistent top national ranking in her category, Mokshada, at just 17 years old, is ready to take on the world.

Recognizing the need for world-class training to compete at the highest level, Mokshada has secured admissions to five prestigious U.S. universities—Penn State University, Long Island University, Cleveland State University, Temple State University, and St. John’s University. These institutions are known for their elite fencing programs, offering top-tier coaching and state-of-the-art facilities. For the past two years, Mokshada has been tirelessly working towards this goal, connecting with world-class coaches and exploring opportunities to train abroad. Her dedication and perseverance have now opened doors to international-level training, bringing her one step closer to fulfilling her dream of representing India on the global stage.

However, the journey to excellence requires substantial financial investment. While her family has been her pillar of support throughout her sporting career, they are unable to bear the full financial burden of overseas training. Mokshada is now seeking government assistance and private sponsorship to help her achieve her dream of competing at the highest level.

In India, Olympic hopefuls like Bhavani Devi have trained abroad in countries such as Italy and France to reach global standards. Mokshada aspires to follow a similar path and bring pride to the nation. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I am determined to give my best to make India proud. With the right support, I can train with the best and bring laurels to my country,” Mokshada appeals.

She now calls upon sports enthusiasts, corporates, and government bodies to come forward and help nurture India's future fencing champion.
