Youth From Pune Gets Rs 40 Lakh Funding From Shark Tank For His ABC Sports and Fitness Academy
Pune, 18th January 2023: The Pune-based sports academy, ABC Sports and Fitness Academy run by Anirudh Pole, which has a unique concept of teaching sports, has received funding of Rs 40 lakh from Peyush Bansal on Shark Tank India. The academy started by teaching children in societies of Pune and has now expanded to 207 societies and schools where they provide quality sports coaching.
They specialise in teaching sports that are not as popular as cricket, such as basketball, tennis, gymnastics, and badminton. Initiated in September 2016, the Academy has over 3,000 kids and 100 coaches. It is now the biggest sports academy in India and is recognised worldwide.
ABC provides coaching for Tennis, Skating, Gymnastics, Taekwondo, Football, Table-Tennis, Badminton, and Swimming.
ABC pitched an offer of Rs 40 lakh for a six per cent equity. The offer was denied. Bansal put forth an offer for Rs 40 lakh with a 10 per cent equity, which the Academy accepted.
