‘Yuva Ki Awaaz’ in Pune: Vande Mataram Event to Counter Congress’ ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’
Pune, 21st August 2026: A youth-focused programme titled ‘Yuva Ki Awaaz’ has been organised in Pune by the Vande Mataram Action Committee against the backdrop of the Congress party’s ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ programme.
The event is scheduled to be held at 5 pm on Saturday (August 22) near the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar statue on the Savitribai Phule Pune University campus. Organisers have announced the slogans, “Vande Mataram ke samman mein, desh ka yuva maidan mein!” and “Yuva ki awaaz, desh ki awaaz!” for the programme.
According to the organisers, the event aims to strengthen patriotism, national pride and a sense of national unity among young people. The programme will include a collective singing of the complete ‘Vande Mataram’ and patriotic songs.
The committee has appealed to young people from different fields to participate in large numbers.
The event comes at a time when the Congress party’s ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ programme has assumed a political dimension. Against this backdrop, the ‘Yuva Ki Awaaz’ programme is being seen as an attempt to mobilise a separate section of Pune’s youth through a collective rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’.
