Announcement of ‘Adarshgaon Bhushan’ Award

Mumbai, 4.Sep.19: “Maharashtra Adarshgaon Bhushan (Ideal Village) Award to be given to the villages, individuals and institutions for the overall development of villages through implementation of various schemes of the government. The first prize of Rs. 5 lakhs bagged by Kothoda village in Yavatmal district” informed Dr. Tanajirao Sawant, Water Conservation Minister.

He further stated that from 2009-10, all the villages, institutions and individuals who are contributing to the overall development of the village by implementing the government schemes in the villages are honored with the award under the Adarsh gaon Bhushan Award. The best Adarshgaon awards included Shelgaon Gauri (Taluka Naigaon) in Nanded district on and Bhagadi (Taluka Ambegaon) in Pune district are on second position (Rs 3 lakhs) while Godhani village (Taluka Umred) in Nagpur district and Virsai (Taluka Dapoli) village in Ratnagiri district have been selected for third position (2 lakhs).

Dr. Sawant said that under the Excellent Project Implementation Agency, the first prize of Rs. 1 Lakh achieved by Dyanshakti Vikas Vahini Institution, DSK Building, Manchar, Taluka Ambegaon while the second award of Rs 50,000 and third award of Rs 20,000 claimed by the Regional Multipurpose Education and Health Care Institute, Godhani, Taluka Umred, District Nagpur and Vikas Social Organization, Varora, District Chandrapur, respectively.

“Under the excellent village worker category, first prize of Rs 25,000 received by Sunil Dattartay Pawade from Kothoda village of taluka Pandharkawda, Yavatmal. The second prize of Rs. 15,000 bagged by Kashinath Yadavrao Shinpale, from village Shelgaon Gauri, Taluka Naigaon, District Nanded and Third Prize of Rs. 10,000 divided between Param Tukaram Kale, from village Godhani, District. Nagpur and Dnyaneshwar Vasant Uande from village Bhagi, taluka Ambegaon, district Pune. Distribution of these awards will be announced soon”, informed Dr. Sawant.
