10-15 Vehicles Skid After Mud and Oil Spill on Road Near RTO Chowk in Pune; Fire Brigade Begins Cleanup
Pune, 4th August 2026: At least 10 to 15 vehicles reportedly met with accidents after skidding on a slippery stretch of road between RTO Chowk and Naidu Hospital in Pune on Tuesday morning.
According to initial information, a combination of mud and oil spilled on the road made the surface extremely slippery, causing multiple two-wheelers and other vehicles to lose balance. The incidents occurred within a short span on the busy road.
The Pune Fire Brigade rushed to the spot and initiated cleanup operations to remove the mud and oil from the road and restore safe traffic conditions.
Motorists have been advised to exercise extreme caution while travelling on this stretch until the road is completely cleared. Authorities have urged commuters to drive slowly and avoid sudden braking, especially on two-wheelers.
No information about any serious injuries was immediately available.
