10 teams for “PYC Filtrum Challenger Trophy” Invitation Under-25 2day Mens Cricket Tournament
Pune, December 2, 2022: 10 teams have been invited for the “PYC-Filtrum Challenger Trophy” Invitation Under-25 2day Mens Cricket Tournament organized by the PYC Hindu Gymkhana. The matches will be played on PYC Hindu Gymkhana, Deccan Gymkhana, Poona Club, Varroc Vengsarkar Academy, Nehru Stadium, Barane Cricket grounds from 5th December 2022. The Opening match will be played on PYC Ground on Monday, 5th December 2022.
Mr. Kumar Tamhane, President of PYC Hindu Gymkhana, Mr. Sarang Lagu, Hon. Secretary and Mr. Vinayak Dravid, Cricket Secretary of the PYC Hindu Gymkhana said that, teams like host PYC Hindu Gymkhana, Deccan Gymkhana, Poona Club, Varroc Vengsarkar Academy, Cadence, Club of Maharashtra, United Sports Club, Punit Balan Kedar Jadhav Cricket Academy, Ambitious Cricket Club, Stars Cricket Club have been included to be part of this event.
“We are thrilled to support this event and happy that young talent is getting a platform to show their skills and talent. We are happy that good players will be identified through this event ” said Mr. Niranjan Kirloskar, Managing Director of Filtrum.
10 Teams have been divided in two groups of 5 Teams each. The matches will be played on League basis. Top two teams from each group will play the Final. Opening match and Final match will be played at PYC Hindu Gymkhana cricket ground. Our event will give Maharashtra Under-25 players much needed match practice for the Col. C. K. Nayudu Trophy 2022 conducted by Board Of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Mr. Vinayak Dravid, Cricket Secretary of the PYC Hindu Gymkhana added
The winning and runner up team will be given a Trophy. Apart from winner and runner up trophy Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best Wicketkeeper and Man of the series will be awarded with individual trophies, he added.
A tournament committee comprising of Mr.Vinayak Dravid, Mr.Sarang Lagu, Mr.Niranjan Godbole, Mr.Indrajeet Kamtekar, Mr.Parag Shahane, Mr.Kapil Khare has been formed for the smooth conduct of the event.
