11 new COVID patients in PCMC, tally reaches 135 now

Pimpri, May 5, 2020: In the last 24 hours, 11 new Coronavirus positive patients including a one and half month old baby, were reported in the areas under Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) taking the total of patients till date to 135. New cases were reported from Sambhajinagar, Rupinagar, Talwade, Sangvi and Moshi areas.

According to PCMC officials, apart from 135 PCMC residents, 10 from outside are also undergoing treatment here. Therefore the total number of positive patients is 145. Till now 59 patients have been cured and discharged including two from outside PCMC. Five patients have died so far which includes two from Pune. Two patients from Kharalwadi and Dapodi were discharged today after their reports came negative reports after 14 days of treatment.

Meanwhile, Sambhajinagar Road, Nigdi-Bhosari Road, Shivaji Park Link Road, Umbrella Garden Road, Sant Dnyaneshwar Housing Society premises and Bankir Vasti Road in Moshi, Jadhavwadi Road, Nashik Highway and Moshi High Street Road will be sealed from 11 pm today.

According to the Maharashtra health department, 841 new COVID19 positive cases and 34 deaths were reported in Maharashtra today, taking the total number of cases to 15,525.
