1101 new COVID patients in Pune city, 1159 discharged today

Pune, Aug 5, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1159 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 1101 new patients were detected while 17 people died today. Today swab samples of 5698 people were collected for COVID tests.

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 60,597 out of which 42,410 have been cured while 1429 have died. There are still 16,758 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 675 critical patients out of which 425 are on ventilator support.

 

According to PCMC, the total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 25106 out of which 17407 have been cured while 423 have died. 3970 active patients are still undergoing treatment. There are 319 non-PCMC residents currently admitted in PCMC hospitals, while 98 have died and 1087 have been cured.

 

Across Maharashtra, 3,05,521 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.52%. As of today, there are 1,45,961 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 65.25% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.52%. Currently, 9,43,658 people are in home quarantine and 36,466 people are in institutional quarantine. Out of 24,13,510 laboratory samples, 4,68,265 have been tested positive (19.40%) for COVID-19 until today.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 1,908,254 across the country. Out of this, 1,282,215 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 38,795 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 586,244 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
