1160 new COVID patients in Pune city, 896 discharged today

Pune, July 27, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 896 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 1160 new patients were detected while 16 people died today. Today swab samples of 4467 people were collected for COVID tests.

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 49,217 out of which 29,489 have been cured while 1182 have died. There are still 18,546 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 744 critical patients out of which 97 are on ventilator support.

 

 

According to PCMC, the total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 16,283 out of which 10,911 have been cured while 284 have died. 3427 active patients are still undergoing treatment. There are 299 non-PCMC residents currently admitted in PCMC. Till now 75 non-PCMC residents have died.

  

Across Maharashtra, 2,13,238 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.63%. As of today, there are 1,48,601 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 56.74% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.63%. Currently, 9,08,420 people are in home quarantine and 44,276 people are in institutional quarantine. Out of 18,86,296 laboratory samples, 3,75,799 have been tested positive (19.92%) for COVID-19 until today.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 1,385,522 across the country. Out of this, 885,576 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 32,063 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 467,882 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
