1180 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District, Active Cases Cross 10,000 Mark In District

Pune, 1st July 2021: A total of 1180 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients reported in the Pune district today while 870 people were discharged from hospitals. 17 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 10,261 active patients in the district and 5821 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4440 are in home isolation. Out of 1180 new cases, 286 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 265 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 99 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 18 in cantonments and 512 in rural areas.
Among the 17 deaths, six were in PMC, two in PCMC, three in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), one in cantonments and five in rural areas. Out of 870 discharged patients, 133 were in PMC, 171 were in PCMC, 69 in municipal councils, 14 in cantonments, and 483 in rural areas.
