132 people donated blood in a blood donation camp organised by Wakad Police

Wakad, 20th April 2021: Wakad Police and gram Suraksha dal organized a blood donation camp at the Wakad police station, and a total of 132 people donated blood. This camp was organized on Sunday (18th April) between 9 am to 5 pm.

 

Due to the surge in Covid infection, there is a shortage of blood, the Police commissioner of Pimpri-Chinchwad municipal corporation Krishna Prakash instructed senior inspectors to organise blood donation camps with the help of citizens at the police station level. Following the instructions, a blood donation camp was organised at Wakad police station. Organisations like Gram Suraksha Dal, Police Mitra sanghatana, PD foundation, Thergoan social foundation, NehrunagAr society, Lions club participated in this camp and 132 citizens had donated blood.

The blood camp was inaugurated by deputy police commissioner Anand Bhoite. Many police officials were also present including Senior police inspector Dr Vivek Muglikar, police inspector Santosh Patil, Sunil Tonpe, police employee Hemant Hange, Sachin Sutar, Madhu Kar Koli, Sachin Sapate, Swapnil Lokhande, PD Foundation’s -Aundunbar Kalsait, Lion’s club’s Anil zope, Thergoan social foundation’s Aniket Prabhu and Police Mitra Sanghatna’s Shahaji Bhosle also donated blood in the camp.
