1334 Pune Zilla Parishad Schools Ready Start Regular Classes

Pune, 8th July 2021: The reduction in Coronavirus disease (COVID19) cases in rural areas of the Pune district, cleared the way to re-start schools of Zilla Parishad (ZP) jurisdiction. The school management committees of 1,334 schools have agreed to start regular schools.

 

The state government has permitted classes from class VIII to XII in those areas where the infection has declined. Accordingly, secondary schools in the district will be started regularly. But there was confusion regarding the opening of primary school as the government has not issued any order related to it. However, the Education Department of the Zilla Parishad has empowered the School Management Committees to start primary schools also.

 

A survey was recently conducted to find out how many villages, teachers and school management committees are ready to start regular primary schools in rural areas before giving these rights. Zilla Parishad vice-president and education chairperson Ranjit Shivtare said that 1,334 school management committees and 4,280 teachers have agreed to start regular schools.
