15 CBI OFFICERS AWARDED WITH “UNION HOME MINISTER’S MEDAL FOR EXCELLENCE IN INVESTIGATION” FOR THE YEAR 2023

New Delhi, 13th August 2023: 15 Officers of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have been awarded the “Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Investigation” for the year 2023.

Rubi Choudhary, DSP, ACB, CBI, Patna; Shri Deepak Kumar Purohit, DSP, ACB, CBI, Bhopal; Shri Akhil Pandey, DSP, EO-III, CBI, New Delhi; Shri Hukam Vir Attri, Inspector, ACB, CBI, New Delhi; Shri Dinesh Kumar, Inspector, AC-III, CBI, New Delhi; Shri Zahir Akhtar Ansari, Inspector, ACB, CBI, Ghaziabad; Smt.Sheetal Arun Shendge, Inspector, ACB, CBI, Pune; Shri Kamlesh Chandra Tewari, Inspector, AC-V(now AC-III), CBI, New Delhi; Shri Rahul Raj, Inspector, ACB, CBI, Bhopal; Shri Subrahmanyam Lakshmi Venkata Gali, Inspector, ACB, CBI, Hyderabad & Shri Santhosh Kumar Arekath, Inspector, ACB, CBI, Hyderabad.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (Government of India) has initiated this scheme for award of medals to the members of Central Investigating Agencies and State/UT Police Investigating Agencies for excellence in investigation. The objective for institution of the medals for Police Investigators is to promote high professional standards of investigation of crime in the State Police and Central Investigating Agencies in the country and to recognise such excellence in investigation by Investigating Officers of Police organisations.
