16 teams for 1st edition of Punit Balan-Kedar Jadhav Mega Club Championship Cricket Tournament 2022 – 23

Pune, December 20, 2022: 16 teams have been invited for the 1st edition of Punit Balan-Kedar Jadhav Mega Club under 16 group Championship which is being organized by Punit Balan- Kedar Jadhav Cricket Academy and will be played at Katariya Cricket Ground Mukund Nagar, Legends, Desire, Veerangana, Vision, Brilliants, Barne Cricket Academy.

Mr. Akshay Darekar, Coaching Director, Punit Balan-Kedar Jadhav Cricket Academy said that, through this initiative, Punit Balan-Kedar Jadhav Cricket Academy aims to provide a platform for budding cricketers to showcase their talent in highly competitive environment. The purpose of this tournament is to encourage all cricket Clubs and Academies in Pune to have teams in all 4 categories from the juniors team to the seniors team.

16 teams which are participating in the championship are PYC Hindu Gymkhana, Desire Cricket Academy, Poona Club, Brilliant CA, C N A, Virag Awate, Aaryan, Varroc, Punit Balan-Kedhar Jadhav Cricket Academy(PB-KJCA), Ambitious, Yashvi Cricket Academy, Chandro’s Cricket Academy, Cadence, Vision, Spark, JusCricket.

All clubs participating in the championship shall encourage their juniors or seniors to perform better and compete for the Double Crown and Triple Crown or gain victories in all 4 categories to claim the MEGA CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP Title for the year.

The tournament has a total cash prize of Rs.7,44,000/- which consists of Trophy and cash prizes to the Winners of Rs.70,000/-, Runners Up Trophy and Rs.30,000/- and Most valuable player of The Series Rs.11,000/- for each sub-tournament. The team winning maximum Titles will be declared Champion for the year with a Cash prize of Rs.3,00,000/-
