16 Unreserved Summer Special Trains Between Mumbai/Pune and Ratnagiri

Pune, 4th May 2023: Central Railways has announced the operation of additional Unreserved Summer Special Trains to cater to the increased demand of passengers during the vacation season. The trains will run between Panvel and Ratnagiri, as well as Pune and Ratnagiri. This will bring the total number of Summer Special Trains operated by Central Railways to 958 for the year.

The Panvel-Ratnagiri-Panvel Weekly Unreserved Special will run for eight trips, departing from Panvel every Friday at 21:30 hrs from 05.05.2023 to 26.05.2023 and arriving at Ratnagiri the next day at 04:30 hrs. The return journey will depart from Ratnagiri every Friday at 13:00 hrs from 05.05.2023 to 26.05.2023 and arrive at Panvel at 20:30 hrs on the same day. The train will halt at Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Savarda, Aravali Road, and Sangameshwar Road.

The Pune-Ratnagiri-Pune Weekly Unreserved Special will also run for eight trips, departing from Pune every Thursday at 20:50 hrs from 04.05.2023 to 25.05.2023 and arriving at Ratnagiri the next day at 07:30 hrs. The return journey will depart from Ratnagiri every Saturday at 13:00 hrs from 06.05.2023 to 27.05.2023 and arrive at Pune at 23:55 hrs on the same day. The train will halt at Lonavala, Kalyan, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Savarda, Aravali Road, and Sangameshwar Road.

Both weekly specials will consist of 20 General Second Class and 2 General Second Class cum Guard’s Brake Vans. Passengers are advised that these trains will run as unreserved and can be booked through the UTS system with normal charges as applicable for superfast mail/express trains.
