Pune: Musical program ‘Shukratara’ on May 11

Pune, May 4, 2023: ‘Shukratara’ – a musical program, jointly organised by Atul Arun Date and Abhay Gadgil, based on the iconic songs of late Arun Date, a singer par excellence, will be held at the Yashwantrao Chavan auditorium in Kothrud on Thursday May 11, 2023 at 5.30 PM. Entry to the program is free on a first come first serve basis. A few seats will be reserved for the invitees.

Acclaimed singers Anuradha Paudwal and Anuradha Marathe will be presented with the second ‘Arun Date Kala Sanman’ award, which is given on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Arun Date. This year the awards are being jointly given by Ramubahiyya Date Smruti Pratishthan and P. N. Gadgil Exclusive, Nal Stop.

In the Shukratara program, singers Sarang Padalkar, Shrirang Bhave, Pallavi Pargaonkar Varsha Joshi and Anjali Marathe will present the iconic songs. They will be accompanied by Prasanna Bam (Harmonium), Amit Kunte (Tabla), Abhay Ingale and Kedar Paranjape.

While the musical program will be moderated by Anushree Phadnis, Atul Date will share memories of his father Arun Date with the audience.
