20% Reservation For Women In Indian Navy Agniveer Recruitment, Know The Process And How To Apply

New Delhi, 5th July 2022: Under the Agneepath scheme, 20 percent of the candidates from the first batch will be women in the recruitment of Agniveers in the Navy. They will be allocated to different parts and branches of the Navy. A Navy official gave this information on Tuesday.


Under the Agneepath scheme, women are being recruited to the Navy. According to media reports, within a few days of the start of the recruitment process, more than 10,000 women candidates have registered to become Agniveers in the Navy.

Recruitment will be done for the posts of Agniveer SSR and Agniveer MR under the Agneepath scheme in the Indian Navy. The 12th pass youth can apply for SSR and 10th pass youth can apply for MR. 23 years of age is the maximum age limit fixed for both. 23 years of age will be limited only for this year. From next year, age limit will be reduced to 21 years.

Qualification Required For Agniveer SSR:

12th pass with Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Computer Science.

Age Limit – 17 years 6 Months to 23 years.

Qualifications For Agniveer MR:

Agniveer MR will have three categories – Chef, Steward and Hygienist

Qualification – 10th pass.

Age Limit – 17 years 6 Months to 23 years.

How to Apply:

Visit joinindiannavy.gov.in. If you haven’t registered before, register first. Enter your email id and mobile number correctly during registration.

Log in with the registered email id. Click on “Current Opportunities”. Click on the Apply button. Fill the application form and click on submit.

You have to upload all the documents while filling the application form. So keep the documents scanned beforehand. Before uploading the photo, make sure that it is of good quality and its background is blue.

Selection Process

The candidates will be called for a written test first. Successful candidates will be further called for PFT i.e. Physical Fitness Test. The merit list of the candidates who qualify PFT will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination.

Physical Test

Men will have to run 1.6 km in 6.30 minutes, perform 20 squats and 12 push-ups.

Women will have to run 1.6 km in 8 minutes, perform 15 squats and 10 bent knee sit-ups.

Heights Eligible

Male – 157 cm

Female – 152 cm
