24,948 New Covid-19 Cases And 103 Death Reported In Maharashtra Today

Mumbai, 28th January 2022: A total of 24,948 new Covid-19 positive cases have been reported in Maharashtra today while 45,648 patients were discharged today. The recovery rate in the state is 94.61%.

Meanwhile, 103 COVID-19 deaths were reported in the state today. The case fatality rate in the state is 1.86%.

Out of 7,41,63,858 laboratory samples 76,55,554 have been tested positive (10.32%) for COVID-19  until today.

Currently, 14,61,370 people are in home quarantine and 3,200 people are in institutional quarantine.

Omicron surveillance related information: Today, 110 patients with Omicron infection have been reported in the state. All these cases have been reported by the Indian Institute of Science, Education and Research.

In Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 110 omicron cases have been reported.

Till date, a total of 3040 patients infected with the Omicron variant have been reported in the state.
