255 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 54,274 Vaccine Doses Administered
Pune, 18th October 2021: A total of 255 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 515 people were discharged from hospitals. 07 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.
Today, A total of 54,274 COVID vaccine doses were administered in the Pune district today taking the total vaccination doses to date to 1,15,55,449. About 75,90,538 people have got the first dose while 39,64,911 people have got two doses.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 4286 active patients in the district and 2434 of them are admitted to hospitals while 1852 are in home isolation. Out of 255 new cases, 70 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 33 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 24 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 2 in cantonments, and 126 in rural areas.
Among the 07 deaths, one was in PMC, one was in PCMC, one was in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), and four were in rural areas. Out of 515 discharged patients, 122 were in PMC, 84 were in PCMC, 39 were in municipal councils, 11 were in cantonments, and 259 were in rural areas.
