Pune: Funds Sanctioned For Fursungi, Uruli Devachi Water Supply Scheme

Pune, 18th October 2021: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has approved to provide Rs three crore to Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran for various works of water supply scheme under National Rural Drinking Water Program in Fursungi and Uruli Devachi villages, informed Standing Committee Chairman Hemant Rasane in a press conference today.

 

Rasane said, “In order to improve the water supply in these two villages, a water purification project of 33 MLD capacity at Tukai Hill Fursungi, main aqueduct from the cantonment water station supplying water to this project, internal distribution pipes, thirteen storage tanks etc. are being developed since 2017.

 

As these villages have recently been included in the municipal limits, the responsibility of water supply has fallen on the PMC. A fund of Rs three crore was sanctioned to complete the unfinished water supply works.”
