285 new Corona patients in Pune district, 152 discharged

Pune, May 31, 2020: With the addition of 285 fresh Coronavirus positive today, the total number of COVID cases has reached 7750 in Pune district. Also, 152 patients got discharged from hospitals while 8 people died.

Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 7750 patients 4502 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 337 people have died. There are still 2911 active patients undergoing treatment including 210 critical patients. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 50,726  people have been tested in the district.

The 7750 patients include 6537 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 521 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 306 from Pune Cantonment, 33 from Khadki Cantonment, 2 from Dehuroad Cantonment and 351 from Pune rural areas. In the Pune rural areas, there are 9 from Baramati town, 8 from Baramati rural, 50 from Daund town, 1 from Jejuri, 2 from Talegaon Dabhade, 1 from Chakan, 1 from Saswad, 2 from Lonavala,1 from Shirur town, 95 from Haveli, 17 from Shirur, 22  from Junnar, 23 from Khed, 20 from Mulshi, 31 from Velha, 17 from Bhor, 5 from Indapur, 2 from Daund rural, 12 from Maval, 5  from Purandar and 27 from Ambegaon.

Across Maharashtra, there were 2487 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 67655 . Also, 89 people died while 1248 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 36,031 active cases. The total death toll stands at 2286, while 29,329 patients have been discharged till date, according to Maharashtra Health Department.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 182,143 across the country. Out of this, 86,983 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 5164 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 89995 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
