302 new Corona patients in Pune district, 358 discharged

Pune, May 29, 2020: With the addition of 302 fresh Coronavirus positive today, the total number of COVID cases has reached 7314 in Pune district. Also, 358 patients got discharged from hospitals while 11 people died.

Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 7314 patients 4206 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 321 people have died. There are still 2787 active patients undergoing treatment including 206 critical patients. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 48,619 people have been tested in the district.

The 7314 patients include 6155 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 495 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 299 from Pune Cantonment, 32 from Khadki Cantonment, 2 from Dehuroad Cantonment and 331 from Pune rural areas. In the Pune rural areas, there are 8 from Baramati town, 6 from Baramati rural, 50 from Daund town, 1 from Jejuri, 2 from Talegaon Dabhade, 1 from Chakan, 1 from Saswad, 2 from Lonavala, 88 from Haveli, 16 from Shirur, 19 from Junnar, 22 from Khed, 20 from Mulshi, 31 from Velha, 17 from Bhor, 5 from Indapur, 1 from Daund rural, 12 from Maval, 4 from Purandar and 25 from Ambegaon.

Across Maharashtra, there were 2682 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 62228. Also, 116 people died while 8381 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 33,124 active cases. The total death toll stands at 2098, while 26,997 patients have been discharged till date, according to Maharashtra Health Department.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 165,799 across the country. Out of this, 71,105 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 4706 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 89987 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
