Pune, May 30, 2020: Examinations for all the years except the final year of post-graduation were cancelled as per the directions of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Maharashtra government. Now the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has decided to start the process of preparing results based on the internal assessment of the students.

The examination board met on Friday under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Dr Nitin Karmalkar. It approved the results of other years except the final to start at the college level. Accordingly, the process in this regard will now be initiated at the college level.

Examinations for some of the university’s courses began in March. They consist of examinations in some subjects of the first and second year. The answer sheets of the examined subjects were submitted in the central assessment process. However, the examination of answer sheets has not been completed. The answer sheets will have to be sent back to the college and checked by the professors. The decision will be taken after reviewing the colleges in the red zone areas.

The process of internal evaluation of students who did not appear for the examination, preparation of results will be completed at the college level. Colleges will send the details to the SPPU following which the results will be announced by the university.
