325 new patients of corona virus found in Delhi, active cases exceed 900

New Delhi, 14th April 2022: Corona cases are increasing rapidly in Delhi. Today, the highest number of cases were reported after March 3. However, there has been some reduction in the infection rate. It is a matter of relief that no patient died due to corona.

According to the Health Department of Delhi, 325 new cases of corona were reported on Thursday. Earlier on March 3, 326 cases were reported. On Thursday, 224 patients were discharged. In Delhi, 13576 tests were conducted on Wednesday for the investigation of corona, in which 2.39 percent people were found infected. So far 1867206 people have been infected in Delhi. Out of these, 1840133 patients have been cured, while 26158 patients died due to corona. The death rate from corona in Delhi is 1.4 percent.

Active patients increased to 915
According to the Health Department, the number of corona cases in Delhi has increased to 915. Of these, 574 are admitted in home isolation and 16 to hospitals. Of the hospitalized patients, 4 are in the ICU and 8 are on oxygen supports. According to the department, the number of containment zones is decreasing amidst increasing corona cases in Delhi. Their number has now reduced to 700.

DDMA meeting on 20th April
In view of the spurt in the cases of Covid-19 in Delhi, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) will hold a meeting on April 20 to consider measures to contain the spread of Coronavirus.

A senior Delhi government official said that the meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority will be held under the chairmanship of the Lieutenant Governor on Wednesday next week. The meeting will discuss the current COVID situation, including the recent rise in the number of cases. Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the Delhi government is monitoring the COVID situation and there is no need to panic as the number of hospitalizations is low.
