480 Constables And Officers Of Pune City Police Are COVID Positive, Police Commissioner Appeals People To Wear Mask
Pune, 17th January 2022: Concerns are being raised in the Pune police force as the number of corona victims is increasing day by day. Over the last few days, due to various security measures and checkings, the police have been in direct contact with the citizens, which has led to the rapid transmission of the corona.
At present, 480 police, including 430 police personnel and 50 officers, are infected with coronavirus and most of them are receiving treatment at home.
The rate of infection among police officers and personnel has risen sharply. In the second wave of the corona, 1,935 members of the police force were infected by the corona and 19 police personnel had lost their lives.
Therefore, senior officers have instructed everyone to take care while working. After the people working in the health sector, the biggest stress is on the police system as they are engaged in enforcing the restrictions.
