5 Men Assaulted 2 Bangladeshi men In Delhi: 3 Arrested
New Delhi, 19th October 2023: 5 Indian men have been charged with multiple IPC sections for assaulting and raping two Bangladeshi men who were a part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
The two men who were assaulted had met one of the three accused on a gay dating app and the two had gotten pretty close. The two Bangladeshi men had gone to the Ramlila fest in Delhi and while on their way back met the three accused.
Following, the five men assaulted the two victims when one refused to get intimate with them. The two victims took help of their other roommate to go to the police.
Using many CCTV footages, the police was able to identify the three accused and they have been arrested. The search for the other two is still underway.
The three accused and arrested are 20-year-old Devashish Verma, 21-year-old Surjit, and 20-year-old Aryan,
