Pune, 9th December 2021: National Lok Adalat has been organized in all the courts of the Pune district on Saturday, 11th December 2021. In this Lok Adalat, 53 thousand pending cases from Pune and 90,500 pre-litigation cases have been kept for compromise. Arrangements have been made in the National Lok Adalat to pay the amount of compromise and penalty through e-challan.

Earlier on November 25, a total of 8,963 regular cases and a total of 3.08 lakh pre-litigation cases were settled amicably during the Lok Adalat.

E-challan notices have been sent to 8 lakh vehicle owners and they have Rs 25 lakh unpaid challans on them. After receiving the notice, the notice holders will pay the amount on the link given in the notice without waiting for the court order. No waiver will be given in the said amount of pre-litigation e-challan even in the court.

There are complaints that e-challan notices have been received even though the car has been sold recently. It is also necessary to change the mobile number by contacting the Regional Transport Office (RTO) after selling the vehicle. But ignoring it, the notice is issued on the registration number, officials said.

In case of such complaints, download the M-Parivahan app or visit the website https://mahatrafficechallan.gov.in and change the mobile number.

Sanjay Deshmukh, Chairman, District Legal Authority and Pratap Sawant, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority have appealed to the people to take advantage of the National Lok Adalat to settle their pending cases amicably.
