600 Diwali cards , gifts , dry fruits& sweets box presented to the Indian Army

26 October 2019, Pune: Spreading the joy of the ‘festival of lights’, the studentsand the staff of Abeda Inamdar Junior College For Girls ,Pune (HSC Vocational Department )organized ‘Indept To Our Soldeirs ‘ careercounseling and interactive session,where 600 Diwali cards and gifts containing dry fruits & sweets boxwere presented to the Indian Army.

Accepting the cards on behalf of the army,Subedar Anil Kumar -Education Instructor,Naib Subedar Hari Kumar T.K- Education Instructor from HQSouthern Command said, “We are thrilled by this wonderful gesture from thestudents and teachers. I will ensure that these cards reach those who areposted in difficult regions.

Under the supervision and guidance of Ayesha A. Shaikh – Principal and Gaffar L. Sayyed – Vice Principal, studentrepresentatives presented cards and gifts to army officers present at the eventand distributed sweets to them.
Decoratedwith paper quilling and glitter, the cards made by students had notes thankingsoldiers for keeping the country safe. Student quoted: “To the brave soldiers ofthe Indian Army, a very Happy Diwali to you” on card. “The soldiers spend theirlives protecting us. So, on this festive occasion we want to spare a thoughtfor them”.

Najama Abbas Shaikh, Nayyarara Zakir Hussain Shaikh, Gohar Anjum Mubin Nadaf, Dr. Afrin Shahand Mrs. Noorjahan Shaikh were also present for the event.
