628 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 63,336 Vaccine Doses Administered

Pune, 23 August 2021: A total of 628 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 785 people were discharged from hospitals. 10 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 63,336 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.

According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 7913 active patients in the district and 4263 of them are admitted to hospitals while 3650 are in home isolation. Out of 628 new cases, 97 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 116 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 66 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 14 in cantonments, and 335 in rural areas.

 

Among the 10 deaths, five were in PMC, two were in PCMC, and three were in rural areas. Out of 785 discharged patients, 233 were in PMC, 111 were in PCMC, 42 were in municipal councils, 21 were in cantonments, and 378 were in rural areas.
