700 New E-Service Centres To Be Set Up In Pune District By End Of June

Pune, 4th June 2022: Additional services are provided to the citizens through 42 different types of certificates through e-service centres. There are currently 1433 e-service centres (e-Seva Kendra) in Pune city, Pimpri-Chinchwad and the rest of the rural areas of the Pune district. 700 more centres will be added to provide prompt service to the citizens. The selection process is underway and the centres will be operational by the end of June.

 

In e-service centres, Resident Certificate, Income Certificate, New Ration Card and 7/12 land extracts and other certificates are issued. A fee of Rs 20, court stamp of Rs 10 and service tax of Rs 3 has been fixed for each certificate.

 

The results of various courses will be announced in the next few days and students need a certificate for further admission. It is seen that parents and students rush to e-service centres simultaneously to get certificates.

 

“There are a total of 1433 e-service centres in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and the rest of the rural areas. Certificates are being issued from it. The process is being implemented for 700 new e-service centres in the district and this process will be completed by the end of June. After that, more than 2100 centres will be functioning in the entire district. This will help the citizens to get the certificates in time,” informed the district administration.

 

Resident Deputy Collector Himmat Kharade said, “The administration is trying to ensure that everyone in the district gets the required certificates on time and at the right rate. In the next few days, students will need a large number of residency certificates and income certificates for admission. Therefore, after the results, e-service centres are likely to be crowded to get citizen certificates. Therefore, parents should immediately get the certificates.”

 

Kharade has appealed that if any service centre is taking more money than the fixed-rate, then citizen should lodge a complaint and action will be taken against those concerned.
