7984 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District, 14 Deaths Reported
Pune, 24th January 2022: A total of 7984 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 7754 people were discharged from hospitals. 14 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 93,642 active patients in the district and 2529 of them are admitted to hospitals while 91,113 are in home isolation. Out of 7984 new cases, 3377 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 2947 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 378 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 83 in cantonments, and 1199 in rural areas.
Among the 14 deaths, seven were in PMC, two were in PCMC, one was in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), one was in Cantonments and three were in rural areas. Out of 7754 discharged patients, 3931 were in PMC, 2367 were in PCMC, 253 were in municipal councils, 219 were in cantonments, and 984 were in rural areas.
