Pune: Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti Observed At PCDA (O) Office

Pune, 24th January 2022: Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti, officially “Parakram Diwas” (Day of Valour), is a national event celebrated in India to mark the birthday of a prominent Indian freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on 23 January.

Subhash Chandra Bose, popularly known as Netaji, was a great freedom fighter and a patriot. To celebrate the birth anniversary of Great Son of India Subhash Chandra Bose, Dy CDA Lehana Singh amidst gathering of officers and staff of PCDA (O), garlanded and offered floral tribute to photograph of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

This was followed by a brief speech from Lehana Singh on the life and ideals of Netaji. He also narrated a story about his grandfather, who fought during World War 2 in Rangoon. He gave very detailed descriptions of the courageous fight by Indian National Army (INA) from Rangoon to Chindwin to Imphal.

The whole nation is indebted to the organized freedom struggle, conceptualized and launched by Netaji, which made an unforgettable impact on the history of India and immensely contributed to the independence of India.
