827 new COVID patients detected in Pune city, 808 discharged

Pune, July 11, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 808 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 827 new patients were detected while 16 patients died (see below). Today swab samples of 4398 people were collected for COVID tests.

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 26,904 out of which 16,996 have been cured while 816 have died. There are still 9092 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 461 critical patients out of which 64 are on ventilator support.

The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) said that 409 new Coronavirus Disease (COVID19) patients were reported in PCMC areas today. Also, 145 people got discharged from hospitals while 10 people died today. The total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 6958 out of which 3994 have been cured while 102 have died. 2505 active patients are still undergoing treatment.

Maharashtra State Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that the current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 2,46,600. Today, newly 8,139 patients have been identified as positive. Also newly 4,360 patients have been cured today. Till now 1,36,985 patients are cured and discharged from the hospitals while there are still 99,202 active patients in the state. Today, 223 people died taking the total deaths to 10,116 till now.

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total recovered cases among COVID19 patients crossed the 5 lakh mark today across India. The recovery rate has further improved to 62.78%. The total positive cases in the country have reached 820916 out of which 22123 people have died while 5,15,385 COVID-19 patients have so far been cured. There are 283407 active cases in the country.
