Pune Police Commissioner Holds Meeting With All Political Parties

Pune, 21st May 2022: Over the last few months, the political atmosphere in the city has been shaken by allegations and agitations by leaders of various political parties.

“Protest peacefully without disturbing law and order in the city. Do not agitate outside the houses of political leaders and do not block the vehicles of leaders. Do the agitation at the designated place. Do not disturb law and order during the agitation”, these are the instructions given by Pune City Police to all political parties today.

Commissioner of Police Amitabh Gupta today held meetings with the political leaders of all the parties. MLA Madhuri Misal, Shiv Sena city president Sanjay More, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) city president Prashant Jagtap, spokesperson Ankush Kakade, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) city president Jagdish Mulik, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) city president Sainath Babar were present on the occasion.

“The law and order situation in the city should not be disturbed in the backdrop of the forthcoming Municipal Elections. Follow the instructions given by the police. The agitation should be carried out with the permission of the police and also at the place where the place of agitation has been fixed. Be careful when commenting on social media. Hate or provocative messages should not be disseminated through social media,” Gupta appealed.

“One should be careful while commenting on a party leader on social media. We should not act in such a way that law and order will be disturbed in the backdrop of the forthcoming municipal elections. The instructions given by the police will be followed,” said Shiv Sena city president Sanjay More.
