Pune: Burglars Strike in Baner, Gold Jewelry and Cash Worth Rs 2.16 Lakhs Stolen

Baner, 21st May 2023: An incident of theft has been reported in which gold jewellery and cash worth Rs 2.16 lakhs were stolen from a residence in Baner, Pune.

Akshay Deshpande (33), residing in Gagangiri Niwas near Bhairavanath Temple, Baner, has lodged a complaint at the Chatushringi Police Station.

According to police, the theft occurred while Deshpande was away for some work. The burglars gained entry by breaking the lock of the house door. They ransacked the cupboards and made off with gold ornaments along with Rs 20,000 in cash.

The police have initiated an investigation into the matter. They are examining the crime scene for any potential leads or evidence that can help apprehend the culprits. Police Sub-Inspector Rupesh Temgire leading the case.
