Pune: Fatal Accident in Kharadi, Municipal Garbage Dumper Knocks Down Motorcyclist
Kharadi, 21st May 2023: A young motorcyclist lost his life in a collision with a municipal garbage dumper in the Patharenagar area of Kharadi. The victim has been identified as Ashok Navnath Darade, a 25-year-old resident of Wagholi.
The Chandannagar police have taken swift action and registered a case against the unidentified driver of the dumper.
Pradeep Gyandev Ghuge, a 19-year-old resident of Wagholi and the nephew of Ashok Darade, has lodged a formal complaint at the Chandannagar Police Station.
According to Pradeep’s account, his uncle was commuting through the Kharadi area on his two-wheeler when tragedy struck. Without warning, a municipal dumper crashed into the back of Ashok Darade’s vehicle, causing him grievous injuries that proved fatal. The dumper driver fled the scene immediately after the accident, leaving behind a shattered family and a community in mourning.
The Chandannagar police are investigating the case.
