Pune: Seven-Year-Old Boy Dies As Housing Project Entrance Collapses in Wagholi

Wagholi, 10th June 2023: A seven-year-old boy lost his life when the entrance arch of a planned housing project collapsed. The incident occurred at the Gulmohor Society located in Wagholi, Ahmednagar Road.

The deceased child has been identified as Arnav Mithilesh Rai, a resident of Gulmohor Society. His father, Mithilesh Rai (36), has filed a complaint with the Lonikand police station, leading to the registration of a case against two workers and the contractor responsible for the accident.

According to the complaint lodged by Rai, the case has been registered against contractor Siraj Mulla, and workers Dajiz Ibn Khan, and Ramprawesh Radhesham Rai, who reside on Porwal Road, Lohegaon. Police Sub-Inspector Rahul Kolpe is investigating the case.

According to police, preliminary findings suggest that contractor Siraj Mulla has taken up the construction of the entrance for the planned Gulmohor Society. Tragically, due to a deterioration in the construction work, the arch collapsed, leading to the fatal injury of young Arnav Rai. Despite immediate medical attention, he lost his life while undergoing treatment.
