Pune: Youth Fatally Attacked Over Suspected Relationship With Sister, Evidence Tampered

Pune, 22nd December 2023: A 25-year-old man lost his life in a brutal stabbing, allegedly fueled by suspicions of an immoral relationship with the sister of one of the accused. The incident occurred between 11:30 am and 8:30 pm on December 19, prompting the Chatushringi Police to initiate an investigation into the matter.

The accused individuals are identified as Rahul Rikame (20) and Sayyad Jamir, also known as Sahil or Babya Syed Noor (20), both residents of Balewadi.

According to police, the accused and deceased Rajesh Kamble were acquinted with each other. The motive behind the brutal attack emerges from Rahul’s suspicion of an immoral relationship between Rajesh and his sister. The assailants allegedly carried out the murder by stabbing Rajesh with an iron weapon. They attempted to destroy evidence by throwing Rajesh’s bike into the river at Wakad.

The Chatushringi Police have registered a case based on a complaint from a minor boy, who shares a friendship with the accused individuals.
