Purnkuti NGO Celebrates 12 Years of Empowering Pune’s Marginalized Through Education and Entrepreneurship

Pune, 22nd December 2023: Purnkuti NGO, dedicated to empowering children and women from marginalized communities in Pune, joyously celebrated its 12th anniversary on December 20, 2023. The commemorative event highlighted the organization’s impactful initiatives, focusing on education and entrepreneurship to uplift the underprivileged.

The festivities commenced with dignitaries contributing water to a symbolic plant, symbolizing growth and sustainability. A poignant video presentation showcased Purnkuti’s remarkable social work, capturing the essence of its journey over the past 12 years.

One of the notable achievements highlighted was the Manosakha Project, where children presented a captivating play illustrating the successful enrollment of out-of-school children into formal education programs, demonstrating the NGO’s commitment to education.

In recognition of the strides made in skill development, certificates were awarded to women in the Dhara Project who had successfully completed courses in Beauty Parlour, Tailoring, MS-CIT, and more. Those who not only completed the courses but also initiated their own businesses, thereby improving their financial situations, were honored with badges of honor.

The program featured heartfelt testimonials from parents and women who received badges of honor, expressing their gratitude for the organization’s unwavering support. A celebratory cake was cut to mark the NGO’s anniversary, and Hon. Prashant Kumar, the organization’s trustee, extended heartfelt best wishes for the continued success of Purnkuti in the future.

The event was skillfully anchored by Dr. Bharti Sahu and Smita Londhe. Distinguished attendees included the organization’s co-founder, Sneha Bharti, Ranjana Madam, Anuja Madam, and Mohsin Shaikh from Rohan Builders’ Corporate Social Responsibility Department. Also present were Poornima Gadia from Diksha Foundation, Mohan Prasad, Ashok Kadam, Shruti Dimble, and Neha Sinha of Druvan Ray Foundation.

The vibrant gathering included women, children, beneficiaries of Purnkuti, and the organization’s dedicated staff, all enthusiastically participating in the program. As Purnkuti reflects on its 12 years of service, the anniversary celebration becomes a testament to the positive impact it has had on the lives of Pune’s marginalized communities through education and entrepreneurship.
