Pune: Rs 12.40 Lakh in Gold Stolen While Family Was Away on Pilgrimage

Pune, 30th December 2024: Gold ornaments valued at ₹12.40 lakh were stolen from a bungalow in the Vadgaon Budruk area on Sinhagad Road. The Sinhagad Road police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the burglary.

According to police, the theft occurred while the complainant’s parents were away for a pilgrimage. The family’s bungalow, located on Venutai Mahavidyalaya Road in Vadgaon Budruk, was unoccupied at the time. The thieves reportedly broke the lock of the bungalow two days ago and gained access to the room, where they stole the gold ornaments stored in a cupboard.

The burglary was discovered when the complainant noticed the broken lock and promptly filed a complaint at the Sinhagad Road police station. Assistant Police Inspector Nikam is leading the investigation into the case.
