PMPML Announces Free Tejaswini Bus Rides For Pune And Pimpri-Chinchwad Women Passengers On International Women’s Day
Pune, 6th March 2025: On the occasion of International Women’s Day (8th March), the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has announced free travel for women in its Tejaswini buses across Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. This special initiative will be available on 13 routes across the twin cities.
As per the directive of PMPML Chairman and Managing Director Deepa Mudhol-Munde, the Tejaswini buses will operate from depots in Swargate, Nigdi, Pune Station, Kothrud, Hadapsar, Katraj, Pimpri, Bhosari, and other key locations. These buses will collectively complete around 42 trips throughout the day, ensuring uninterrupted service for women passengers. PMPML has instructed all depot managers to keep the Tejaswini service fully operational and to avoid any route suspensions.
To enhance the Women’s Day celebration, female conductors will be assigned to these buses. Additionally, depot officials will greet women passengers at bus stations with roses and extend their best wishes. PMPML has strictly mandated that only female passengers be allowed to board the Tejaswini buses on this special day.

– Katraj to Kothrud Depot: 6 trips
– Hadapsar to Warje Malwadi: 2 trips
– Bhekrainagar to PMC: 2 trips
– Market Yard to Pimple Gurav: 2 trips
– Pune Station to Kondhwa Khurd: 2 trips
– Nigdi to Mega Police, Hinjawadi: 4 trips
– Bhosari to Nigdi: 4 trips
