Pune: 19-Year-Old College Student Found Dead in Rented Flat in Talegaon Dabhade
Talegaon Dabhade, 15th March 2025: A 19-year-old college student, Ankita Sanjay Patil, was found dead in her rented apartment in Swaraj Nagar, Talegaon Dabhade, last evening. The incident came to light around 8:30 PM when she was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan with a dupatta.
Originally from Sangli, Ankita had moved to Talegaon Dabhade for her studies. She lived with two friends, but they had left for their hometowns for a festival. Upon being alerted, the Talegaon Dabhade police rushed her to a local primary health center, where she was declared dead.
A post-mortem examination was conducted by Dr. Manoj Chaudhary before the body was handed over to her relatives. No suicide note or suspicious items were found at the scene. The police have seized Ankita’s mobile phone for further investigation as the reason behind her death remains unclear.
