Railway: Pune Division Hosts Official Language Meeting, Pays Tribute to Hindi Author Mahadevi Verma

Pune, 26th March 2025: The birth anniversary of renowned Hindi author Mahadevi Verma and the 106th meeting of the Divisional Official Language Implementation Committee were conducted at the Pune Division of Central Railway under the guidance and chairmanship of Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Rajesh Kumar Verma.

In his address, Rajesh Kumar Verma emphasized the importance of celebrating the birth anniversaries of Hindi authors for the promotion of Hindi. He encouraged attendees to read Hindi literature and contribute to its progress. Additional Divisional Railway Manager and Additional Chief Official Language Officer, Pune, Padmasing Jadhav, introduced the life and literary contributions of Mahadevi Verma and highlighted the significance of organizing Official Language Implementation Committee meetings.

Senior Divisional Personnel Officer Jitendra Pratap Singh spoke about the contributions of Hindi literature, particularly the work Maila Aanchal. Additionally, the Mechanical (Operation) Department delivered a technical presentation on the responsibilities of loco pilots and assistant loco pilots. The event was conducted by Assistant Personnel Officer and Liaison Officer, Official Language, J.S. Meena, who also delivered the vote of thanks.
