Pune: Gas Cylinder Blast Kills Two in Warje Malwadi
Pune, 9th April 2025: In a tragic incident, a gas cylinder explosion in the early hours of Wednesday claimed the lives of two people in the Gokulnagar area of Warje Malwadi, Pune. The blast occurred around 3 AM, sparking a fierce fire in a tin-roofed house.
The fire brigade responded promptly and managed to bring the blaze under control. Despite their efforts, a young man aged between 20 and 22, and an older man aged between 50 and 55, suffered severe burns and succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
Police reached the scene shortly after the fire was contained. The identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed. Warje Police have launched a detailed investigation to determine the exact cause of the explosion.
