Pune District Collector Orders Priority Action on Citizens’ Core Issues in Baramati Parliamentary Constituency
Pune, 14th July 2025: Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi has directed all concerned departments to take immediate and priority action to resolve fundamental civic issues raised by citizens. The instructions came during a review meeting held at the Collectorate in the presence of MP Supriya Sule, where grievances from across the Baramati parliamentary constituency were discussed.
Key concerns included land acquisition compensation, damage relief due to natural disasters, road development, water supply, and irrigation. Dudi emphasized the need to expedite compensation cases under the 2013 Land Acquisition Act and outlined plans for rehabilitation in landslide-prone villages surveyed by the Geological Survey of India.
On tribal welfare, Dudi stated that while only 16 Katkari families had homes as of December, 950 families have since been allotted land, and the remaining are expected to be rehabilitated by October.
He also addressed issues related to canal water demands, pending agricultural road works, fishery-related legal actions, and waste management. Dudi highlighted efficient water release from dams to prevent flooding despite heavy rains this year.
Other directives covered polluted water in Purandar, tourism development plans in Maval, Velhe, and Mulshi, and environmental regulation in industrial zones like Kurkumbh. A follow-up meeting on pending roadwork in Bhor will be held next week.
